5-Element Yoga

Yoga for all Seasons has been developed from experience of working with both Japanese and Indian systems of yoga.

Five Elements is the system which has been used over millenia in oriental healing systems i.e. traditional acupuncture, the use of herbs and moxa and body work systems i.e. shiatsu/tuina. Recently it has been used in Kinesiology and EFT an off shoot of NLP.

Oriental yoga works with understanding that we are affected: *differently in each season or by different weather
*by our structure
*by our emotions

These workshops explore how to cope with increasing damp, the winter blues, heat induced insomnia, aches and pains, other health scenarios due to stress and lack of energy.

Many of the movements used are small as much of the work is based on stretching the torso, although some emphasis is laid on the classical asanas and classical routines of Indian Yoga.

Workshops are open to all who are willing to move to the best of their ability, breathe and above all relax!

The workshops re suitable for complete beginners, yoga students, practitioners of therapies based on Oriental medicine i.e.
Acupuncture, Kinesiology, EFT, & Shiatsu. Or clients receiving the same and wanting more self-knowledge.

Workshop participants are encouraged to practise and to use the knowledge to turnweakness into strength to maintain their own health.

Prevention is better than cure!
