Diagnostic Skills


Open only to those who have completed an Introductory Course

12 Weekends (or 144 hours)

Building on previously acquired skills you will add Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to broaden your perspective of the applications of Oriental medicine.

You will learn how to become stronger through diet and lifestyle so you can practise Shiatsu more effectively. Your clients will benefit from the increased clarity of diagnosis.

Syllabus will include:
- The Eight Principles
- The Six Evils
- The Four Substances
- Zang Fu
- Energetic use of Points
- Tongue Diagnosis
- Moxabustion
- Food Energies
- Shiatsu for Special needs
- Pathology
- Shiatsu Society Code of Ethics

You will be required to attend Student Clinics. Final Exams in practise and theory.

Assessment is ongoing and wil include some points assessment.
You are required to complete a required number of treatments.
