GENTLE YOGA Tutor: Suzi Caunce "Your session on Tuesday opened a window in my mind, I do absolutely go with the idea that in essence yoga is about our honest, truthful and peaceful (hah!) daily lives rather than the usual separation into overt spiritual activity taken outside of our normal activities." Yoga is a gift to help us relax and play in life, accepting oneself, able to take a deep breath and begin anew in the moment. Suzi's approach to yoga is to strengthen rather than to stretch: using simple yoga with breathing to strengthen the deep postural muscles and Oki Yoga to strengthen the core muscles. The refined techniques of Dru yoga are used to engage with and open up the body ready to do asanas. Her background in oriental diagnosis gives her a unique approach to teaching in that different moods, circumstances or even types of weather require different approaches to the body. Generally, each class generally includes a warm up, sequences, breathing exercises, asana, and some relaxation. You may also do some simple shiatsu or chanting. WEDNESDAYS Morning class 11 am. Great class, enjoyable company and a very relaxing way to spend an hour! You come in feeling tired, stressed hunched up and after, just one hour, leave feeling several inches taller, with a clear head and a sense of calm. Helpful for relaxing techniques to use at home. I find that it helps with medical problems and it relaxes me for the rest of the day. £30 for 6 sessions Term starts week beginning 17TH.
