Practitioner Training

These are the steps necessary to complete your training...

Introductory Workshop
During these classes you will learn massage formats which are safe to use on family and friends. We will cover the principles in using Shiatsu, and include safe practice, tools for self development, and stress management.

Introductory workshops are a unique opportunity to sample the skills which are the basis of three year practitioner training.

After Introductory Workshops you are welcome to attend:

SHIATSU TRAINING: run according to Shiatsu Society Standards and presented in 3 modules.....

It is important to consider that in undertaking this course you will need to devote, on average, an amount of time equal to the course itself.

Five Element Skills
Learn the ancient and inspiring Theory of Five Elements to understand life and your clients!

Diagnostic Skills
Using Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to broaden your perspective of the applications of Oriental medicine.

Practical Skills
This part of the course focuses on developing ability and sensitivity in practical skills to Shiatsu Society standards.

After you have completed the level of study required you obtain
a Diploma in Shiatsu from the School. At which point you may wish
to be recommended for the Shiatsu Society's register.

The Society requires that you write two case histories and an account of your personal growth since starting shiatsu. You are required to have a sucessful practice for this process and to present 100 recorded treatments.

At present the approximate cost of the training is under £6,000.
